Jets Sign Three To Futures Deals Including WR Myles White

The New York Jets announced that they’ve signed three players to reserve/future contracts on Wednesday including FB Julian Howsare, WR Myles White and WR Deshon Foxx.

The Jets have officially signed 11 players to futures deals following these moves. Here’s the full list:

  1. DL Kenny Anunike (NFLTR)
  2. WR Darius Jennings
  3. DL Claude Pelon
  4. FB Chris Swain
  5. TE Jason Vander Laan
  6. K Ross Martin
  7. LS Zach Triner
  8. OLB Frank Beltre
  9. FB Julian Howsare
  10. WR Myles White
  11. WR Deshon Foxx

Future/reserve contracts are essentially an opportunity for players compete for a roster spot in offseason workouts and during training camp.

White, 26, wound up signing on with the Packers as an undrafted free agent out of Louisiana Tech back in 2013. He spent a good amount of time on the Packers’ practice squad, but managed to make the 53-man roster last year.

However, White was unfortunately waived to make room for James Jones. He wasn’t out of a job for long, as the Giants signed him to their practice squad just a few days later.

The Giants brought White back on an exclusive rights deal back in April but he was unfortunately among their final roster cuts coming out of the preseason. He was on and off of the Jets’ practice squad during the season.

In 2015, White appeared in 12 games for the Giants and recorded seven receptions for 88 yards receiving and a touchdown.
