Jets Sign WR Jalin Marshall To Practice Squad

The New York Jets announced Monday that they’ve signed WR Jalin Marshall to their practice squad after he officially cleared waivers.

The Jets’ practice squad now consists of:

  1. OL Ben Braden
  2. DL Deon Simon (Exception)
  3. CB Terrell Sinkfield
  4. OL Geoff Gray
  5. WR JoJo Natson
  6. WR Damore’ea Stringfellow
  7. DE Claude Pelon
  8. DB Robert Nelson
  9. RB Jahad Thomas
  10. WR Jalin Marshall

Marshall, 22, wound up signing a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Jets as an undrafted free agent out of Ohio State back in May of last year. He managed to make the 53-man roster coming out of the preseason and stands to make a base salary of $540,000 for the 2017 season.

The Jets activated Marshall last week after serving a four-game suspension for violating the league’s policy on performance-enhancing drugs.

New York elected to waive him last week.

In 2016, Marshall appeared in 10 games for the Jets and caught 14 passes for 162 yards receiving and two touchdowns. He also contributed 324 kick return yards and another 100 punt return yards last season.
