Jets Sign WR Mario Alford To Practice Squad

The New York Jets officially signed WR Mario Alford to their practice squad on Wednesday.

The Jets’ practice squad now consists of:

  2. G Craig Watts
  3. LB Freddie Bishop 
  4. CB Bryson Keeton
  5. S Doug Middleton
  6. RB Brandon Wilds
  7. DT Brandin Bryant
  8. OT Zach Sterup
  9. OLB Victor Ochi
  10. WR Mario Alford

Alford, 24, was taken in the seventh round of last year’s draft by the Bengals. He’s currently in the second year of his four-year, $2,339,104 rookie contract and stands to make a base salary of $525,000 for the 2016 season.

The Bengals waived Alford with an injury designation in the final week of the preseason before later waiving him from injured reserve with a settlement.

Last year, Alford appeared in one game for the Bengals caught one pass for 15 yards receiving and no touchdowns.
