Jets Signing LB Kevin Pierre-Louis To Two-Year Deal

Damond Talbot of the NFL Draft Diamonds reports that the Jets are signing LB Kevin Pierre-Louis to a two-year contract worth $6 million dollars and includes $2.5 million guaranteed on Saturday.

Pierre-Louis met with the Jets earlier in the week before taking a visit to Chicago to sit down with the Bears. However, it appears as though the Jets proved to be his best option in the end.

Pierre-Louis, 26, is a former fourth-round pick of the Seahawks back in 2014. The Chiefs traded LB D.J. Alexander to the Seattle Seahawks in exchange for Pierre-Louis last summer.

Pierre-Louis played out the final year of his four-year, $2.605 million contract and was testing the open market as an unrestricted free agent.

This offseason, Pierre-Louis was arrested and charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana, THC and drug paraphernalia, driving without a valid driver’s license and failure to display a valid license plate or current registration.

In 2017, Pierre-Louis appeared in 14 games for the Chiefs and recorded 41 tackles, no sacks or interceptions and two pass defenses.
