Jets Sign WR Chandler Worthy To A Futures Deal

The New York Jets officially signed WR Chandler Worthy to a future/reserve contract on Wednesday.

Future/reserve contracts are essentially an opportunity for players compete for a roster spot in offseason workouts and training camp.

Worthy, 22, wound up singing on with the Texans an undrafted free agent out of Troy back in May. He was unfortunately unable to make the Texans’ 53-man roster coming out of the preseason, but was later added to the team’s practice squad a few days later.

In 2015, Worthy appeared in three games for the Texans and recorded three receptions for 14 yards receiving and no touchdowns while contributing 36 kick and punt return yards.
