Jets TE Kellen Davis Reverts To Injured Reserve After Clearing Waivers

The New York Jets officially placed TE Kellen Davis on injured reserve Monday after he passed through waivers unclaimed.

Davis, 31, is a former fifth-round pick of the Bears back in 2008. He spent five years in Chicago before playing for multiple teams over the past three season including the Seahawks, Lions, and Jets.

The Jets waived him with an injury designation on Saturday to make room for CB Dexter McDouglewho was promoted to their active roster.

In 2016, Davis has appeared in eight games for the Jets but has not recorded a single statistic.
