Jets Tender Offers To RFAs DL Damon Harrison & S Jaiquawn Jarrett

The New York Jets announced Monday that they’ve tendered offers to restricted free agent DL Damon Harrison (2nd round) and S Jaiquawn Jarrett (original).

Harrison, 26, signed on with the Jets as an undrafted free agent out of William Penn back in 2012. He has quickly become a solid interior defensive lineman for the Jets, who would have found a great deal of interest had the Jets not used a second-round tender on him.

Last year, Harrison recorded 55 tackles over the course of 16 games for the Jets, but those stats don’t do him justice based on the how good of a run-stopper he has been. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 14 defensive tackle out of 81 qualifying players.
