The Jets placed CB Leon McFadden on waivers Thursday, according to the NFL transactions release.
New York claimed McFadden off of waivers from the Browns just a few weeks ago and are clearly in need of help at the cornerback position, so it’s at least somewhat interesting that McFadden was unable to make impression on them.
McFadden, 23, was selected in the third-round of the 2013 NFL draft by the Browns. However, Cleveland cut him loose a few weeks ago as they trimmed their roster down to 53 players before the start of the regular season.
Last year, McFadden appeared in all 16 games for the Browns and recorded 20 tackles and a pass defense.
