Jets Waive LB Julian Stanford To Make Room For TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins

The New York Jets announced that they’ve waived LB Julian Stanford on Monday to make room for TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins, who was claimed off of waivers from the Buccaneers.

Stanford, 26, originally signed on with the Jaguars as an undrafted free agent out of back in 2012. He lasted over a year in Jacksonville before joining the Lions during the 2013 season.

Stanford played briefly for the Buccaneers last year before signing on to the Jets’ practice squad and later returning on a future/reserve contract.

In 2016, Stanford has appeared in three games and recorded a single tackle for the Jets.
