Jets Waive DB Kendall James From Injured Reserve With A Settlement

The New York Jets officially waived DB Kendall James from injured reserve on Thursday with an injury settlement.

James, 25, is a former sixth-round pick of the Vikings back in May of 2014. He was, unfortunately, unable to make the 53-man roster coming out of the preseason, but was later added to the Vikings’ practice squad.

James has brief stints with the Texans and Chargers before later signing a future/reserve contract with the Browns in December of last year. He was once again unable to make the Browns’ 53-man roster at the start of the regular season, and was eventually released from the team’s practice back in January.

The Jets signed him to a future/reserve contract this past January before cutting him loose last week. James later cleared waivers and reverted to their injured reserve list.

James has yet to appear in an NFL game.
