Jets Waive TE Brian Parker From Injured Reserve With Settlement

The New York Jets officially waived TE Brian Parker from injured reserve with a settlement on Friday.

Parker, 25, originally signed on with the Chargers as an undrafted free agent out of Albany back in 2015. He was unable to make the 53-man roster last year but was later claimed off of waivers by the Chiefs.

Parker was waived with a failed physical designation at the start of last season. The Jets signed Parker to a contract this past April before waiving him with an injury designation on Friday and he later reverted to their injured reserve list.

In 2015, Parker appeared in nine games for the Chiefs and recorded one reception for six yards receiving.
