Jets Waive TE Clive Walford

Adam Schefter reports that the Jets have waived TE Clive Walford on Saturday as their cut their roster down to 53 players.

The Jets were reportedly shopping Walford around the league, but it looks like now trade surfaced in the end.

Walford, 26, is a former third-round pick out of Miami by the Raiders in the 2015 NFL Draft. He is in the final year of his four-year, $3.345 million rookie contract and set to earn a base salary of $822,800 for the 2018 season.

The Raiders elected to place Walford on waivers back in April and he was later claimed off of waivers by the Jets.

In 2017, Walford appeared in 13 games for the Raiders and recorded nine receptions for 80 yards receiving and no touchdown.
