Jets Waived/Injured RB Khiry Robinson, Workout RB David Cobb

Doug Kyed reports that the Jets have waived/injured RB Khiry Robinson.

  • Field Yates also reports that the Jets have worked out RB David Cobb.

The Jets placed Robinson on their active/PUP list back in July, so it seems that he is still having injury concerns.

Robinson, 26, wound up signing on with the Saints as an undrafted free agent out of West Texas A&M back in 2013. He managed to make the team’s 53-man roster in all three years with the Saints.

The Jets ultimately signed him to a one-year, $1.175 million contract as a free agent back in March.

In 2015, Robinson appeared in eight games and ran for 180 yards on 56 carries (3.2 YPC) to go along with 17 receptions for 115 yards receiving and four touchdowns.

Cobb, 23, is a former fifth-round pick of the Titans last year. He was in the second year of his four-year, $2,252,668 rookie contract and set to make a base salary of $525,000 for the 2016 season when he was cut by the Titans.

He has already had a confirmed workout for the Chiefs since being cut, but was not signed to a contract.

In 2015, Cobb appeared in seven games for the Titans and ran for 146 yards on 52 carries (2.8 YPC) to go along with one reception for -2 yards receiving and a single touchdown.
