Jets Will Sit Tim Tebow In Their Final Preseason Game

The New York Jets have announced that QB Tim Tebow will not participate in the team’s final preseason game against the Eagles.

Typically, backup quaterbacks play in the final preseason game while they rest their starters, but it’s more than apparent that Tebow isn’t your typical backup quarterback.

Mark Sanchez will be the team’s starter for their Week 1 match up against Carolina, but you have to wonder whether or not the Jets are convinced that he gives them a better shot at winning than Tebow. Why else would they be sitting a backup quarterback in the final preseason game? Tebow is expected to be used in different capacities this season, but to hold him out of a preseason game is a bit strange.
