Jets Work Out Clemson QB Tajh Boyd On Thursday

Tony Pauline of DraftInsider.net reports that the Jets are working out Clemson QB Tajh Boyd on Thursday.

  • Pauline adds that RB Roderick McDowell and LB Quandon Christian also took part in the workout with the Jets.

The Jets recently hosted Eastern Illinois QB Jimmy Garoppolo for a visit, so it is interesting that they have shown interest in quarterback prospects despite the fact that they have added Michael Vick and Geno Smith in the past two years.

While it’s hard to say that the Jets are targeting a quarterback in this year’s draft, they may view Boyd as a developmental prospect who would be available in day 3 of the draft.

In 2013, Boyd threw for 3,851 yards passing to go along with 34 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. He also contributed 400 yards rushing and 10 touchdowns on 154 attempts.
