Jets Worked Out 4 Long Snappers Including Rick Lovato

Zac Jackson of ProFootballTalk reports that the Jets brought in four long snappers on Tuesday for workouts including Rick Lovato, Zach Triner, Daniel Dillon, and Kameron Canaday.

Lovato, 25, originally signed on with the Bears as an undrafted free agent out of Old Dominion back in May of last year. He ended up being waived coming out of the preseason but signed on with the Packers in late December.

Unfortunately, Lovato was unable to make the Packers’ 53-man roster coming out of the preseason. The Redskins signed him to their active roster last month but waived him last week to make room for DL A.J. Francis.

He has appeared in two games this season for the Redskins.

Dillon, 23, signed with the Cardinals as an undrafted free agent out of Campbell back in May. He only lasted a couple months with Arizona after getting cut as the team trimmed down to 75 players.

This is the first reported interest in Dillon since becoming an unrestricted free agent.

He has yet to appear in an NFL game.
