Adam Schefter reports that the New York Jets are bringing in free agent WR Rishard Matthews for a workout on Tuesday.

Matthews has recently worked out for the Browns and Cardinals, so there appears to be a decent amount of interest in him.

As for the Jets, they’re likely exploring available options with WR Quincy Enunwa dealing with a high ankle sprain.

Matthews, 28, is a former seventh-round pick of the Dolphins back in 2012. He spent four years in Miami before signing a three-year, $15 million contract with the Titans in 2016.

Matthews was set to make a base salary of $5 million for the 2018 season when he agreed to a new one-year extension last month worth a base value of $7.75M for the 2019 season. The Titans elected to cut him loose shortly after he requested his release from the team.

In 2018, Matthews has appeared in three games and caught three passes for 11 yards receiving and no touchdowns.

We have him featured in our Top 50 Available 2018 NFL Free Agents list.
