Jets Working Out Veteran OL Byron Bell

According to Tom Pelissero, the Jets are working out free agent OL Byron Bell on Monday.

This is the first reported interest in Bell since the free agent market officially opened.

Bell, 29, originally signed on with the Panthers as an undrafted free agent out of New Mexico back in 2011. He played out his rookie contract with the Panthers before signing a one-year, $2.25 million contract with the Titans back in 2016 that included $650,000 guaranteed.

Bell, unfortunately, missed the entire 2016 season after he sustained a dislocated ankle last summer and was subsequently placed on injured reserve. The Cowboys signed Bell to a contract last March and he has been testing the open market as an unrestricted free agent.

In 2017, Bell appeared in 12 games for the Cowboys and played a total of 243 snaps.
