Jets WR Robby Anderson Arrested Friday Morning

Andy Slater of SlaterScoops.com reports that Jets WR Robby Anderson was arrested early Friday morning and is facing nine charges including harm to a public servant/family, reckless driving, eluding police, and resisting arrest.

According to Slater, Anderson was caught speeding at 105 mph in a 45 mph speed zone and he allegedly ran two red lights and did not stop for the officer behind him.

Anderson told the arresting officer that he was going to find his wife, “fck her, and nt in her eye.” The police report also says that Anderson bragged about how much money he had and how the officer was just “trying to ruin his fun.”

The Jets released the following statement, per Connor Hughes, regarding the news:

We are aware of the situation. This is a pending legal matter and we will have no further comment.”

Last year, Anderson was arrested at a Miami music festival and charged with resisting arrest and obstructing justice. According to Slater, this case is still ongoing.

Anderson, 24, wound up signing on with the Jets as an undrafted free agent out of Temple back in 2016. He’s currently in the final year of his three-year, $1.62 million contract and stands to make a base salary of $630,000 for the 2018 season.

In 2017, Anderson appeared in all 16 games for the Jets and caught 63 passes for 941 yards receiving and seven touchdowns.

We’ll have more regarding Anderson as the news is available.
