Joe Flacco Looking To Be Paid Like A Top-5 QB?

Joe Flacco‘s agent Joe Linta discussed his clients perceived value with Matt Vensel of the Baltimore Sun.

Linta said that he’ll begin negotiations with the Ravens next week at the Scouting Combine. Interestingly enough, Linta said that he sees his client as top-five quarterback in the league.

If the game is about wins and losses, he has to be in the top five [quarterbacks],” Linta said. “He is a player who has been extremely durable, never missed a game. And he’s done something that no one has ever done. In his four years in the league, he has never missed a game and has more wins than any other quarterback.”

Flacco is, by all means, deserving of a sizable contract and his more recent performance should be seen as an indication that he can show up big in the most important games. Still, it’s hard to say that Flacco should be competing for one of highest contracts in the game with the likes of Tom Brady and Drew Brees. It will be interesting to see how far he wants to push his salary demands considering that the team has some very important players to get under contract like Ray Rice and Lardarius Webb.
