Titans, Saints & Buccaneers Could Also Be Options For DE John Abraham

Update:

Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk mentions the Buccaneers, Titans and Saints as “potential destinations” for free agent DE John Abraham, who’s scheduled to visit with the 49ers some time in the near future.

It’s worth noting that the Buccaneers and Titans actually pursued Abraham last year before he ultimately re-signed with the Falcons.

We have Abraham listed as the No. 61 best available player in our Top 100 Free Agents list.

Update:

Mike Garafolo of USA Today reports that free agent DE John Abraham is scheduled to meet with the San Francisco 49ers once his visit with the Seattle Seahawks has concluded.

Garafolo’s source added that there could be other meeting lined up as well, but didn’t provide any specific names.

Kimberly Jones has been informed that free agent DE John Abraham is on his way to meet with the Seattle Seahawks.

This is the first report of Abraham visiting with an team since he was released by the Falcons last Wednesday.

Abraham, 35, could be an affordable defensive end who could mitigate the impact of losing Chris Clemons to a torn ACL.

He tallied 10 sacks for the Falcons last year, so he could be a decent stop-gap option for the Seahawks’ defensive line.
