John Fox Has Seemingly “Accepted His Fate”, Likely Out As Bears HC After Season

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media spoke with several coaches on the Bears’ staff who believe things will not end well for HC John Fox after the 2017 season.

Mike Garafolo adds that some of the people he’s spoken with recently have said that Fox has seemingly “accepted his fate” that this will likely be his final year in Chicago.

All indications have been that Fox is likely finishing out his final year with the team, so this won’t come as much of a surprise if the Bears do, in fact, move on from him in the coming weeks.

It will be interesting to see if Chicago gives GM Ryan Pace another opportunity to hire a head coach.

Fox, 61, began his head-coaching career with the Panthers back in 2002. He had a successful stint with the Broncos but was fired after they lost in the Super Bowl. Fox has been with the Bears for three years now and led them to a record of 12-32 (27.3 percent) and no playoff appearances.

We’ll have more regarding potential coachings changes involving the Bears as the news is available.
