Johnny Knox Will Need 3-4 Months To Recover

Vaughn McClure of the Chicago Tribune reports that Bears WR Johnny Knox is looking at a recovery time of 3-4 months following what appeared to be a serious back injury that he suffered during Sunday’s loss to the Seattle Seahawks.

Knox is set to undergo surgery today and is expected to be able to make a full recover. Chicago will place Knox on season-ending I.R. The surgery will attempt to stabilize his vertebra so there’s no guarantees at this point but everyone is hopeful about his chances of recovering.

Looking to the future,” said Bears coach Lovie Smith, “it looks bright for him, of course, to play and to get back out there.”
