Jonathan Stewart Hoping To Sign A Long-Term Contract With The Panthers

Joe Person of The Charlotte Observer tweets that Panthers RB Jonathan Stewart, who is entering to his last year of contract, says he wants to sign a long-term deal with Carolina.

“We’re good. There’s no reason I would want to leave as of now.” Stewart said,”That being said, I’m a Panther and I intend on being one.”

Stewart is entering to his final season of his rookie contract. He has shared carries with often injured DeAngelo Williams throughout his career, but Williams received a five-year $43 million extension last season which may complicate things a bit for the Panthers. We have Stewart listed as the No. 21 best available free agent in our Top 50 Free Agents list.
