Josh Freeman Reportedly Working Out With Jon Gruden To Get Career Back On Track

Gil Brandt of the NFL Network reports that free agent QB Josh Freeman will begin working out with former HC Jon Gruden and quarterbacks coach Terry Shea next week in an attempt to get his career back on track.

There is no question that things have spiraled out of control for Freeman after the Buccaneers cut him loose last season.

The Vikings wasted no time in signing him to a contract, however, it proved to be a disastrous decision for Freeman who has found very little interest as a free agent, even though he’s still 26 years old.

The Giants signed him to a contract back in April, but he lasted a little over a month before he was released again.

Last year, Freeman appeared in just four games and 42.9 percent of his passes for 761 yards, two touchdowns and four interceptions.

We have him listed as the No. 28 player in our recently updated Top 50 – Best Available Free Agents list.
