Josh Gordon Could Have A “Tough Time Making It Back Into The NFL” ?

Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports that sources close to Browns WR Josh Gordon are concerned that he could have a “tough time making it back into the NFL” if he is forced to stay away from his support system.

Cabot’s sources pointed to Jaguars WR Justin Blackmon‘s situation as he has been suspended indefinitely and is no longer being counted on by the team.

  • Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk reported Thursday that Gordon’s appeal hearing is set for late July, barring an agreement that would reduce his suspension.

Gordon is currently facing a minimum of a year-long ban from the NFL, but that could be extended to an indefinite suspension if NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell upholds the current suspension.

Gordon, 23, is coming off of a breakout season and is clearly the Browns best offensive weapon. Last year, Gordon caught 87 receptions for 1,646 yards receiving and scored nine touchdowns for Cleveland.

We’ll have more regarding Gordon and his suspension as the news is available.
