Justin Hunter’s Felony Assault Charge Reduced To Misdemeanor

Titans WR Justin Hunter had his felony assault charge has been reduced to a misdemeanor on Friday, according to Gabriella DeLuca.

Hunter turned himself after a warrant was filed in relation to an incident that occurred earlier in July.

The Virginia Beach Sheriff’s office lists the charges against Hunter as “malicious intent, stabbing, cutting and wounding” the victim.

Police responded to a call of a large fight in which a victim was to a hospital for injuries sustained during the incident.

Hunter, 24, still has two years remaining on his four-year, $5.424 million rookie contract and stands to make base salaries of $898,104 and $1,144,656 over the next two years.

In 2014, Hunter Hunter appeared in 12 games for the Titans and recorded 28 receptions for 498 yards receiving and three touchdowns.
