Justin Tuck Out For Sunday’s Game?

During the Giants final preseason game against the cross town rival Jets, Justin Tuck suffered an apparent stinger injury which wound up keeping him out of this weeks practice.

I am concerned but I am not panicked,” Tuck admitted. “It is getting better but just not as fast as I want it to. … We are going to do what’s best. You don’t want to go out there and lose a season off of one game. But if I’m ready to play I will definitely strap it up.”

Ohm Youngmisuk of ESPNNewYork.com reports that Tuck was limited in Wednesday’s practice and held out of Thursday’s practice entirely.

The sheer amount of injuries that the Giants have had up to this point is incredible. For as much has been made about the 2010 Packers dealing with a rash of injuries, the majority came during the season, not before their first game.

Losing Tuck would be another huge loss for the teams defense as they’re currently without Osi Umenyiora, Jonathan Goff, Prince Amukamara and Terrell Thomas just to name a few. The Redskins can’t be any worse than they were last season which is why this Sunday’s game could end up favoring Washington even though they’re starting Rex Grossman at quarterback. The pressure will be on Eli Manning to put up enough points to make up for their injury plagued defense.
