Kellen Winslow Jr Arrested On Nine Charges Including Kidnapping & Rape, Faces Life In Prison

TMZ Sports is reporting that former NFL TE Kellen Winslow Jr was arrested in San Diego again on Thursday and is being charged with nine criminal charges including kidnapping with intent to commit rape.

Here’s the full list of charges against Winslow:

  • 2 counts of kidnapping with intent to commit rape
  • 2 counts of forcible rape
  • 1 count of forcible sodomy
  • 1 count of forcible oral copulation
  • 2 counts of residential burglary
  • 1 count of indecent exposure

According to TMZ, Winslow faces life in prison if convicted on all charges. Officials have told TMZ that a search warrant has been executed for Kellen’s home.

Last week, Winslow was arrested for felony burglary after he was accused of breaking into a home in a mobile home park in the San Diego area.

Winslow was taken into custody Thursday afternoon and an arraignment is anticipated for Friday, June 15.

Winslow, 34, is a former first-round pick of the Browns back in 2004. He spent four years in Cleveland before he was traded to the Buccaneers for the 2009 season.

After another four years in Tampa Bay, Winslow was once again traded, this time to the Seahawks. He had a brief stint with the Patriots in 2012 before signing a one-year deal with the Jets a year later.

For his career, Winslow Jr caught 469 passes for 5,236 yards receivin and 25 touchdowns over the course of 105 games played.
