Packers Showing Interest In Dolphins DL Kendall Langford?

This might sound crazy but the Green Bay Packers are showing interest in Dolphins DL Kendall Langford, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel.

Langford’s agent mentioned that the Packers have “inquired” about his client even though no visit has been scheduled to this point.

The Packers haven’t signed a free agent since 2009 so this would qualify as a big move for them.

According to Orlando Alzugaray,  Dolphins DL Kendall Langford is scheduled to visit with the St Louis Rams today.

Langford is a relatively young player who has shown flashes of his ability but has never lived up to his potential. It seems more likely that DL Jason Jones is the primary target of the Rams because  of his connection to head coach Jeff Fisher who coached Jones during his tenure with the Tennessee Titans.

The Rams are currently looking to upgrade at the DT position which was held by DT Fred Robbins last year. We have Landford listed as the #31 best available free agent in our recently updated Top 50 Free Agents list.
