Kevin Kolb To Be Released After 2012 Season?

According to Adam Green of Arizonasports.com, the Cardinals may wish to cut ties with QB Kevin Kolb following the 2012 season.

Green sites durability as the main reason that the move is likely to happen.

The passer’s career in the desert has been marred by injuries, and by the time the season comes to a close Kolb will have played in just 15 of a possible 32 games for the team.” says Green, “It doesn’t really matter how good you are if you can’t stay on the field.

Since trading for Kolb in 2011, he has hardly delivered for the price the team paid for him.  If the Cardinals move on without Kolb in 2013, some speculative options could include QB Michael Vick, QB Alex Smith or possibly even using a high draft pick to address the position.

  1. The Cards should pursue Tim Tebow as one of their options. Tebow reminds me of Kurt Warner, who was also religious and was fully accepted into the Cards’ organization. Unlike the Godless Jets, Tebow would be great to inspire the Cards!
