Denver Broncos head coach John Fox announced that RB Knowshon Moreno torn his right ACL during Week 10’s win over the Kansas City Chiefs and will require surgery to repair which ends his 2011 season, per Lindsay Jones.
This is a tough break for Moreno who was already considered to be the teams third-down option at best as long as Willis McGahee remained healthy. Now that he’ll be coming back from a knee injury, you can begin to question whether or not the team will keep him past next season.
In the time being McGahee and Lance Ball will make up the teams backfield even though McGahee is dealing with an injury of his own and broke his hand just a few weeks ago.
