Laurent Robinson’s Staying In Dallas?

Brandon George of the Dallas Morning News explains why the Cowboys will have to wait until the offseason to address WR Laurent Robinson‘s contract.

Dallas can’t offer Robinson a new contract during the season because he qualifies as a vested veteran which means that he has four-years of experience and signed a a minimum-salary deal with the team.

This guarantees that Robinson will be a free agent at the end of the season and considering his 2011 production (49 catches for 792 yards and 9 touchdowns) there should be plenty of interest in the wide receiver.

“There will be a lot of teams that want him, but at the right, proper time if the Cowboys say, ‘We want to make you our guy here,’ nothing would make us happier,” said Robinson’s agent Harold Lewis. “Common sense tells you they want him back.”
