Lions & Bills Believed To Be Interested In WR Russell Shepard, Could Still Return To Bucs

Jeremy Fowler of ESPN reports that while it’s still possible free agent WR Russell Shepard could re-sign with the Buccaneers, he’s getting bigger offers from other teams. Fowler adds that the Lions and Bills are believed to be in on Shepard.

Jenna Laine of ESPN previously reports that there were six teams interested in Shepard including the Buccaneers.

Shepard, 26, wound up signing on with the Eagles as an undrafted free agent out of LSU back in 2013. He lasted just a few months with the Eagles before he was waived and later claimed by the Buccaneers.

In 2016, Shepard appeared in 14 games for the Buccaneers and caught 23 passes for 341 yards receiving and two touchdowns.

We’ll have more regarding Shepard’s market as the news is available.
