Lions Bring In TE Kellen Davis For A Workout

The Detroit Lions recently brought in veteran TE Kellen Davis for a workout, according to Field Yates (per Michael Rothstein).

  • Detroit also worked out TE Richard Gordon.

First-round pick TE Eric Ebron is dealing with a hamstring injury and was downgraded to “did not practice” on Thursday, so it’s not surprising that they would at least bring someone in.

Davis has found some interest in recent weeks from the Saints and Ravens, but neither signed him to a contract.

Davis, 28, signed on with the Seahawks last year, but he lasted until March before he was ultimately cut loose. He would later sign a deal with the Giants, however, Davis was among their roster cuts a few months ago.

Last year, Davis appeared in 15 games and caught three passes for 32 yards and a touchdown.
