Lions Bringing In Veteran DE Kroy Biermann For A Visit

Ian Rapoport of NFL media reports that the Lions are bringing in veteran DE Kroy Biermann for a visit on Wednesday.

This will be Biermann’s second reported visit since the free agent market officially opened several months ago. Biermann previously visited with the Bills, but did not receive an offer from the team.

Biermann, 30, is a former fifth-round pick of the Falcons back in 2008. He’s spent his entire eight-year NFL career in Atlanta and is currently testing the open market as an unrestricted free agent.

In 2015, Biermann appeared in all 16 games for the Falcons and recorded 54 tackles, 2.5 sacks, and a forced fumble. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 79 edge rusher out of 110 qualifying players.

We have him featured in our Best Available Free Agents list.
