Lions Bringing In Veteran OT Nate Chandler For A Visit

Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post, citing a league source, reports that the Lions are bringing in veteran OT Nate Chandler for a visit on Wednesday.

The Buccaneers hosted Chandler for a tryout over a month ago, but elected not to sign him to a contract. Outside of that, there hasn’t been much reported interest in Chandler this offseason.

Chandler, 26, signed on with the Panthers as an undrafted free agent out of UCLA back in 2012. He wound up signing a three-year extension with the Panthers back in 2014, but was unfortunately released by Carolina in a move that freed up $1.3 million in available cap space.

Last year, Chandler wound up missing the entire 2015 season due to a knee injury that led to him being placed on season-ending injured reserve.
