Lions Claim DE Caushaud Lyons Off Waivers From Rams, Cut TE Andrew Price

Field Yates of ESPN reports that the Lions claimed DE Caushaud Lyons off of waivers from the Rams on Wednesday and waived TE Andrew Price.

Lyons, 24, originally signed on with the Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent out of Tusculum back in 2015. He lasted just a few months in Tampa Bay before he was waived and later claimed off of waivers by the Steelers.

Lyons spent the 2016 season on the Steelers’ practice squad. The Titans signed him to a future/reserve contract this past January before waiving him back in June.

The Rams signed him to a contract a few weeks later but, unfortunately, cut him loose on Tuesday.

Lyons has yet to appear in an NFL game.
