Lions Claim Two Offensive Linemen Off Waivers

The Detroit Lions officially claimed G Zac Kerin and OT Brian Mihalik off of waivers on Sunday.

Kerin, 25, wound up signing on with the Vikings as an undrafted free agent out of Toledo back in May of 2014. He spent his first year on the Vikings’ practice squad before returning to the team on a future/reserve contract after the season.

Kerin has been on the team’s 53-man roster and played out the 2016 season on an exclusive rights contract. He was re-signed as an exclusive rights free agent this offseason, but was waived on Saturday as the team trimmed down to the 53-man limit.

In 2016, Kerin was active for nine games for the Vikings. Pro Football Focus has him down for playing 118 snaps last year.
