Lions Rookie FB Nick Bawden Suffers Torn ACL

Dave Birkett reports that Lions seventh-round FB Nick Bawden did, in fact, suffer a torn ACL during Wednesday’s practice and will subsequently miss the 2018 season.

You can expect the Lions to place Bawden on injured reserve in the coming days.

Tom Pelissero of NFL Media reports that the Lions fear seventh-round FB Nick Bawden suffered a torn ACL during Wednesday’s practice.

According to Pelissero, Bawden was injured during a special teams drill.

Bawden, 21, was selected with the No. 237 overall pick in the seventh-round of this year’s draft by the Lions.

During his college career at San Diego State, Bawden rushed for 47 yards on 12 carries (3.9 YPC) to go along with 30 receptions for 240 yards receiving and one touchdown over the course of four years and 24 games played.
