Lions Hosting WR/KR Brad Smith For A Visit Tuesday

Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports that the Lions are expected to host free agent WR/KR Brad Smith for a visit on Tuesday.

The Bills hosted Smith for a visit back in April, but nothing ever came of the meeting.

Smith, 31,  is a former fourth-round pick of the Jets back in 2006. He spent five years in New York before signing on with the Bills as an unrestricted free agent in 2011.

The Eagles later signed him to a  two-year, $2.7 million contract in 2013. However, his time with the Eagles was relegated to mainly playing on special teams.

In 2014, Smith appeared in 11 games for the Eagles, but caught just a single pass for 11 yards receiving. He also contributed 21 kick return yards. Pro Football Focus has him rated as an above average special teams player.
