Lions LB Justin Durant Hopes To Be Back In Detroit Next Season

Detroit Lions impending free agent LB Justin Durant is hoping to return to Detroit next season, but admits that there’s still a chance he could be playing elsewhere.

“Hopefully we get something worked out to where I’m back in Detroit. I love the city, I love the fans, love playing there,” said Durant, via Carlos Monarrez of the Detroit Free Press.

Durant, 27, had signed a two-year, $5.5-million deal that was most likely impacted by the lockout that year. This time around, Durant should be able to secure a much better deal on the open market seeing as he’s coming off of a very productive season for the Lions in which registered 103 tackles.

“It was my best season as far as tackles; I thought I had a good one,” said Durant. “Hopefully everyone in the front office sees that as well.

We have Durant listed as the No. 70 best available player in our Top 100 Free Agents list.
