Lions LB Paul Worrilow Has MCL Sprain, Expected To Miss 2-4 Weeks

Update:

Lions HC Jim Caldwell declined to comment on Lions LB Paul Worrilow‘s injury, but Dave Birkett reports that Worrilow suffered a sprained MCL during Sunday’s game against the Vikings.

  • According to Ian Rapoport, Worrilow will be sidelined 2-4 weeks with a sprained MCL.

Lions LB Paul Worrilow was carted off to the locker room with a wrap on his left knee.

The Lions are thin at linebacker today with rookie Jarrad Davis (concussion, neck) out of the lineup, so this could further stress the team’s defense.

Worrilow, 27, wound up signing on with the Falcons as an undrafted free agent out of Delaware back in 2013. He returned to the Falcons on a one-year, $2.553 million restricted tender back in March of last year.

The Falcons signed Worrilow to a one-year, $3-million contract during free agency this past March.

Entering today’s game, Worrilow appeared in three games and recorded six tackles and a pass defense.

We’ll have more regarding Worrilow as the news is available.
