Lions Met With Former Falcons TE Levine Toilolo

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Lions brought in former Falcons TE Levine Toilolo for a visit.

This is the first reported interest in Toilolo since he became available a few weeks ago.

It’s worth mentioning that signing Toilolo to a contract won’t impact a team’s 2019 compensatory picks, given that he was released this offseason.

Toilolo, 26, is a former fourth-round pick of the Falcons back in 2013. He was entering the second year of his three-year, $12 million contract that included $4.5 million guaranteed and set to make base salaries of $3.5 million and $4 million over the final two years of the agreement when the Falcons designated Toilolo as a post-June 1st release.

In 2017, Toilolo caught 12 passes for 122 yards receiving and one touchdown over the course of 15 games. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 27 tight end of out of 71 qualifying players.

We have him featured in our Top 50 Available 2018 NFL Free Agents list.
