Lions Place LB Stephen Tulloch On Season-Ending I.R. With ACL Injury

The Detroit Lions announced Monday that they will place veteran LB Stephen Tulloch on season-ending injured reserve with a torn ACL.

Tulloch suffered the injury while celebrating a sack on Packers QB Aaron Rodgers, so this is a very disappointing injury for him and the Lions’ defense.

“Unfortunately, I got up in celebration and it happened,” Tulloch said, per MLive.com. “But I ain’t embarrassed by nothing. We all celebrate when we make a play.

Tulloch, 29, hasn’t missed a single game in his eight-year NFL career. He’s in the third year of his five-year, $25.5 million contract that includes $11.25 million guaranteed.

He finishes the 2014 season with 20 tackles and two sacks over the course of three games.
