The Detroit Lions are placing CB Josh Wilson on season-ending injured reserve Tuesday with a “significant” knee injury, according to Dave Birkett.

Wilson, 30, is a former second-round pick of the Seahawks back in 2007. He was later traded to the Ravens before joining the Redskins and Falcons.

The Lions signed him to a one-year, $950,000 contract back in April that included $200,000 guaranteed. He’ll be an unrestricted free agent next year.

This season, Wilson eight games and recorded 32 tackles, a half sack, a fumble recovery and a pass defense for the Lions. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 90 cornerback out of 110 qualifying players.
