Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports that the Lions plan to place veteran WR Brandon Pettigrew on the reserve/PUP list on Tuesday.
- Birkett adds that WR Corey Fuller is also headed to the PUP list.
This will cost Pettigrew and Fuller the first six games of the 2016 season.
Pettigrew, 30, is in the third year of his four-year, $16 million contract that included $8 million guaranteed. He stands to make a base salary of $3.65 million for the 2016 season.
In 2015, Pettigrew totaled seven receptions for 67 yards receiving and a single touchdown over the course of eight games.
