Lions RB Jahvid Best Expects To Be Ready Next Month

Carlos Monarrez of the Detroit Free Press writes that Lions running back Jahvid Best expects to be cleared when he’s eligible to come off the PUP list next month.

“I’m still in tune with everything,” Best said, “Just let it play out, and when I get cleared, I’ll get back out there, and do what I do best.”

Best has not played since he suffered the second of two concussions last season. He’s ineligible to play for the first six weeks of the regular season, which means the earliest he could return would be for the Lions Monday night game on October 22 at Chicago. The team will have a 21-day window after he comes off the PUP list to activate him, or could give him another 21-day practice window.
