Lions Re-Sign DT Haloti Ngata To A Two-Year Deal

The Detroit Lions have signed DT Haloti Ngata to a two-year contract.

Ngata, 32, came over in a trade with the Ravens that sent fourth- and fifth-round picks to Baltimore in return for Ngata and a seventh-round selection.

He played out his five-year, $61 million contract that included $37.1 million guaranteed and was in position to be an unrestricted free agent.

In 2015, appeared in 14 games and recorded 25 tackles, 2.5 sacks and three pass defenses. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 23 defensive tackle of 70 qualifying players.
