Lions Sign DE Kris Redding

According Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post, the Lions have signed rookie DE Kris Redding to a contract.

Redding went undrafted out of Wake Forest this year. During his four-year college career, Redding recorded 64 tackles, 8.5 tackles for a loss, 3.5 sacks, and two forced fumbles.

The Lions defensive end situation is fairly interesting as they don’t have as much depth as had in previous years. Former first-round pick Ziggy Ansah is on the PUP list, so it can’t hurt to see what Redding has to offer.
